ABSTRACT

Written by: Abdul Rahman Ibn Khaldun (1332-1406) more than six hundred years ago, in the introduction to his presentation at that time of the concept and principles of a new science he called: Human Civilization and Human Society (now Sociology), saying: “And I know that the talk on this subject is a new craft, strange in its tendency, and of little benefit, and research has found it and diving has led to it. By my life, I have not come across talk on its subject for anyone in creation, I do not know, I have overlooked it and it is not suspected of them, or perhaps they have written on this subject and completed it and it has not reached us. The sciences are many and the wise men in the nations of the human species are numerous. And what has not reached us from the sciences is more than what has reached us.. This art that we have noticed, we find from it issues that are presented to the people of sciences in the proofs of their sciences.

” We also recently found, by scientific coincidence (October 21, 2014), an identification with an American sociologist and social psychologist, Talcott Parson, who spent years trying to develop a general social theory capable of explaining all social behavior in all situations and times throughout human history. And so it was with the current author, who spent fifteen years in diligent research into the facts of social behavior, which he found in the classification, theory, and behavioral tools presented in this scientific work.

The above scientific efforts and aspirations intersected with our research initiative for more than ten years with comprehensive theoretical and field studies of social behavior in several Arab countries, to reach behavioral types, a classification, theory, and scale of social behavior, and a specialized tool for measuring school social behavior.. all of which were not available or known before that (and as it seems to us until now).. They are new in name, goal, content, and results.. And so it happened!

We hope that researchers and specialists will not wait six hundred years to realize the importance of what we are presenting in this scientific work for the life and future of man and institutions, and its optimal scientific investment in study and research to understand and develop this man by developing his social behavior for the better. As happened in reality with Ibn Khaldun’s theses in sociology, which Emile Durkheim (1858-1917) realized by chance or transmission after about five hundred years?! Which resulted in the West and the East being attributed to him, fairly or unjustly, the merit of establishing this new science (sociology), without Ibn Khaldun who (fairly) laid its first original rules?!
