ABSTRACT
Information, which constitutes the foundation for human enrichment in the fields of knowledge, education, management, and economics, provides the knowledge necessary for the operation and prosperity of all these fields. The impact of the internet and its information on daily life is as profound and comprehensive as the invention of electricity and its widespread use around 1850. It subsequently became, during the twentieth century and continues to this day, the driving force behind various daily affairs and activities, including information and communication technology.
As the current author/researcher predicted in a 2007 English-language information article, information and communication technology, as it pervades many aspects of daily life, will transform the ways and methods of work, education, and human, scientific, and institutional communication to unprecedented levels of depth, pervasiveness, and comprehensiveness. It will only be a decade before the mechanisms of education and life reach near-complete digital integration after 2025. Indeed, 90% of Arab schools and universities are expected to transform into integrated educational institutions that combine synchronous and asynchronous digital information and communication technology with face-to-face interaction in their daily work.
This book paves the way for the transition from traditional face-to-face school education to integrated information education through the following topics:
1. Diagnosing the needs and readiness of students for integrated school education
2. Planning lessons and activities for integrated school education
3. Methods and techniques for integrated school education
4. Skype in integrated school education
5. Email in integrated school education
6. Remote video conferencing in integrated school education
7. Online academic achievement for higher degrees
8. Measuring the effectiveness of integrated school education
